BRAND FAQ
GOOD TO KNOW
What does NSA RV Products make?
NSA RV Products makes flat-towing equipment for motorhome owners. Its lineup includes tow bars, supplemental braking systems, baseplates, lighting and electrical parts, tow bar clevis pins, and fifth wheel hitches. Its best-known tow bars are the Ready Brute Elite II, the Atlas, and the Hercules.
Where are NSA RV Products made?
NSA builds its tow bars and braking systems at its facility in Iola, Kansas. It has made braking systems since the company was founded and tow bars since 2000.
How does the ReadyBrake braking system work?
ReadyBrake is a surge brake. When your motorhome slows down, your towed vehicle pushes forward against the tow bar. That push pulls a cable connected to the towed vehicle’s brake pedal, so its brakes come on in proportion to how hard you’re stopping. The system is fully mechanical, so there’s no box to move or calibrate and no electronics to fail.
What is the difference between the Ready Brute Elite II and the Hercules tow bar?
Both have the ReadyBrake system built into the tow bar. The main difference is capacity: the all-aluminum Ready Brute Elite II is rated for 8,000 pounds, and the Hercules is rated for 12,000 pounds, making it the better fit for heavier vehicles.
